Coastal Alabama Mardi Gras Parades

February 28, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST

10 AM – Gulf Shores Mardi Gras Parade: Begins at Hwy 59 and Clubhouse Drive in Gulf Shores and ends at the Main Public Beach in Gulf Shores.

The history of the Gulf Shores Mardi Gras Parade dates back to 1978 when a group of locals decided Gulf Shores needed a parade.  Those locals formed the Pleasure Island Players and thus Mardi Gras began in Gulf Shores!

3 PM – LuLu’s Anniversary and Mardi Gras Boat Parade: Begins at The Wharf Marina and boats travel west down the intracoastal waterway to Homeport Marina at LuLu’s.

LuLu’s will have live music starting at 11 AM.  Watch the boat parade as it rolls into LuLu’s and keep the party going with more great music starting at 5 PM.  Complimentary cake served while it lasts!

2 PM – Orange Beach Mardi Gras Parade: Begins at Wintzell’s Restaurant on Perdido Beach Blvd in Orange Beach and travels east, ending at HWY 161 in Orange Beach.

Typically there’s about 55 floats and 30,000 people gather along the 2 mile stretch of beach blvd to stand in the rain of throws!
